Refund Policy Governing
Use of TaxSharks

1. INTRODUCTION
This Refund Policy governs all payments made to TaxSharks for professional services, including but not limited to Income Tax Return filing, GST services, registrations, certifications, advisory services, tax planning, litigation support, accounting, bookkeeping, compliance services, and related professional engagements.
By making payment to TaxSharks, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
2. NATURE OF SERVICES
TaxSharks provides professional, knowledge-based, and time-sensitive services. Fees charged are primarily towards professional expertise, consultation, analysis, document review, preparation, drafting, filing, compliance management, representation, and related activities.
As professional resources are allocated immediately upon acceptance of an assignment, refunds are subject to the terms specified herein.
3. NO REFUND AFTER WORK COMMENCEMENT
Once:
- Payment has been received by TaxSharks; and
- Work has been initiated, assigned, reviewed, processed, drafted, prepared, filed, or otherwise commenced,
the fees paid shall become non-refundable.
For the purpose of this policy, “work commencement” includes but is not limited to:
- Assignment of personnel;
- Collection or review of documents;
- Consultation or advisory sessions;
- Preparation of working papers;
- Drafting of returns, forms, replies, reports, certificates, or applications;
- Tax computation;
- GST processing;
- Filing activities;
- Research or analysis work;
- Communication with authorities on behalf of the client;
- Any backend processing activity related to the assignment.
No refund shall be available once any such activity has commenced.
4. CLIENT WITHDRAWAL OR NON-COOPERATION
No refund shall be granted where:
- The client chooses not to proceed after engaging TaxSharks;
- The client fails to provide necessary documents or information;
- The client becomes unresponsive;
- The client delays the assignment;
- The client changes requirements after work has commenced;
- The client decides to engage another professional or service provider.
Professional fees already paid shall remain non-refundable.
5. GOVERNMENT FEES AND THIRD-PARTY CHARGES
Any government fees, statutory fees, filing charges, portal charges, certification charges, payment gateway charges, stamp duty, or third-party expenses incurred shall be strictly non-refundable.
Where such amounts have already been deposited or incurred, no refund shall be possible under any circumstances.
6. REFUND BEFORE WORK COMMENCEMENT
A refund request may be considered only if:
- Payment has been received; and
- No work whatsoever has been initiated by TaxSharks.
Any approved refund may be subject to deduction of:
- Payment gateway charges;
- Banking charges;
- Administrative expenses;
- Processing charges.
The decision of TaxSharks regarding whether work has commenced shall be final and binding.
7. REJECTION OF APPLICATIONS OR FILINGS
TaxSharks shall not be liable to provide any refund merely because:
- A government authority rejects an application;
- A registration is delayed;
- Additional information is requested by authorities;
- An assessment order is passed against the taxpayer;
- A notice is issued by authorities;
- A refund claim is reduced or denied by the department;
- Any statutory authority takes a view different from that advised by TaxSharks.
Professional fees relate to services rendered and not to the outcome of any governmental or regulatory process.
8. DUPLICATE PAYMENTS
In the event of a genuine duplicate payment made for the same service, TaxSharks may, after verification, process a refund of the excess amount received.
Such requests must be made within 7 days of payment.
9. REFUND PROCESS
Any eligible refund request must be submitted in writing to:

The request should include:
- Client Name
- Contact Details
- Invoice Number
- Date of Payment
- Amount Paid
- Reason for Refund Request
TaxSharks reserves the right to request additional information before considering any refund request.
10. TIMELINE
Where a refund is approved, the refund shall generally be processed within 15 to 30 business days through the original payment method or any other method deemed appropriate by TaxSharks.
11. FINAL DECISION
TaxSharks reserves the right to accept, reject, or partially approve any refund request in accordance with this Refund Policy.
The determination of whether work has commenced and whether a refund is admissible shall be at the sole discretion of TaxSharks and shall be final.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
By making payment to TaxSharks, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy and consent to be bound by its terms.
